Brandon Burlsworth Award
High School Football Awards
Each year every high school football program in Arkansas nominates one player from their team to receive the Brandon Burlsworth award.
This player should be of good moral character and demonstrate a desire to excel in the class room. This award recognizes the student athlete who puts their team first and is not looking to just draw attention to themselves. Often it is not the quarterback or star running back selected to receive the award but someone in the background who always gave their best effort but usually went unnoticed.
These students are given a Burls Award plaque and a copy of the book "Through the Eyes of a Champion, The Brandon Burlsworth Story" autographed by Brandon’s mother, Barbara Burlsworth.

State Championship Awards
At the State Championship games held in Little Rock’s War Memorial Stadium the Brandon Burlsworth Award is given to an outstanding player from each team.
Brandon Burlsworth Foundation board member Max Wright or Executive Director Marty Burlsworth are pictured with one of the award winners.
