The Burls Kids became Brandon’s goal when he knew the NFL would be in his future. He wanted to make an impact on the children who grew up with family hardships and to give back to the community. Since 2000, the Brandon Burlsworth Foundation purchases 30 tickets to each Arkansas Razorback home football game.

In Arkansas, underprivileged children from all over the state are given the opportunity to experience Razorback game day in Fayetteville or Little Rock. Each child receives an official Burlsworth jersey and replica glasses similar to what Brandon wore on the field.

On game day, each group is treated to a special tour of the stadium, including the glass encased Brandon Burlsworth locker in the UofA Hall of Honor. Later, the group is lead down onto the field to meet the Razorback cheerleaders and mascots and then onto their seats in the special "Burls Kids" section of Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium.
The University of Arkansas donates concessions for each child and their sponsors. During the game the group is featured on the video boards and announced to the entire stadium. It is an experience that any child [or adult] would envy.

The letters and thank you cards the BBF receives because of this program are heartfelt and the kids have a day that they will never forget.
The BURLS KIDS program is also active in Indianapolis, Indiana where Brandon was the 63rd overall pick by the Indianapolis Colts in the 1999 NFL draft. The BURLS KIDS program is available to organizations that work with underprivileged children across the state of Indiana.
