Sam Sicard

Sam T. Sicard is President/C.E.O. of the First National Bank of Fort Smith and First Bank Corp., the holding company for the First National Bank and Citizens Bank & Trust Company of Van Buren.


Sam joined First National Bank in 1998 and in August of 2011, he was elected as President/C.E.O. Sam has a BSBA in Finance - Magna Cum Laude - from the University of Arkansas -Fayetteville. He is married to Jennifer Sicard and has two children.


Sam serves on the following boards: Fort Smith Public Schools Foundation, Central Business Improvement District, Fort Smith Regional Council, Arkansas Colleges of Health Education, United Way Foundation, UAFS College of Business, and Fort Smith Boys & Girls Club. He has also served as past chairman of many other organizations such as United Way, UAFS Board of Visitors, the Children’s Emergency Shelter, the Fort Smith Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Fort Smith Boys & Girls Club.

Norm DeBriyn

The winningest head coach in Razorback Baseball history, Coach Norm DeBriyn guided the Hogs to the program’s first-ever NCAA Super Regional appearance and amassed a record of 1,161-650-6, which ranked him as the 14th-winningest coach at the time of his retirement.

 

With his success, DeBriyn is a member of four Halls of Fame including the American Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame, Southwest Conference Hall of Fame, Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame, University of Arkansas Sports Hall of Honor and the Wisconsin–Oshkosh Hall of Fame.

The Razorbacks made four NCAA College World Series appearances under DeBriyn, finishing runner-up in 1979, with 15 NCAA postseason berths and three conference championships. He earned six Southwest Conference Coach of the Year awards (1978, 1982, 1983, 1987, 1989. 1990) and one Southeastern Conference Coach of the Year honor (1999). Coach DeBriyn now serves as the Director of Development for the Razorback Foundation.

He and his wife, Caroline, have two sons, Todd (deceased) and Marty, and one daughter, Carrie Jo.
